YES! Chainless 2000 is back, thanks to farmer feedback. Now Series 4.Â
The most compact self-loading Chainless bale feeder can be run on 3 Point Hitch or loaders mounted and feeds any type of bale.
The new series 4, Chainless 2000 self-loading, round and square bale feeder builds upon the proven performance of the original Chainless 2000 retaining the fundamentals in a compact package, an economical choice for smaller tractors and loaders 60hp+ with some key improvements that further enhance durability and versatility.
The versatile Chainless system has been developed over more than 20 years of testing and refinement to allow farmers & ranchers to feed all bale shapes and forage types with just one machine. Round, square, silage, hay, straw bales.
The unique 3:1 low-speed teasing ratio rotors stretches hay back into its natural form prior to baling making your hay go further and the adjustable platform makes pulling apart even the tightest packed bales a breeze.
Say goodbye to troublesome feed chains! The Chainless machine features 2 reliable feeding rotors for ultra-low-maintenance, and noise-free feeding ensuring your cattle arenât spooked during feeding.
Weâve taken years of feedback and parts sales back into the design process to make an even more reliable machine, worthy of our 5 Year NO BULL warranty.
So what is new? Improvements include:
Weâve eliminated troublesome bushes from the entire drive system, for ultra-low maintenance and to eliminate wear.
30% slipperier than steel the rotomolded platform with ribs guides the bale and ensures all bales types can be fed with ease.
The headstock design allows for either 3PH or loader mounts to be bolted directly to the frame. This enables the feeder to be operated on a loader or telehandler. This is great for feeding into hay rings or over fences.
Simple, strong and easy to connect. The new single latch system streamlines the self-loading process.
The drive motor is protected from damage behind a Heavy Duty shield.
Makes it easy to load bales, and prevents bales from screwing off the back when operating on hilly terrain Â
Weâve used specifically designed forged bale spears which pierce the bale rather than pushing it and are longer which reduces bale sag even with the wettest of bales – another innovation from Hustler.
Weâve made one tyne longer than the other for quick and easy alignment when reconnecting the cradle. Youâll only need to line up one tyne, then back straight in.
Our ultra-low cradle design makes it easy for loading.

âAfter having fed out more than 23,000 bales with minimal maintenance carried out over the last 13 years and with no major breakdowns, the decision was easy. We purchased a second Chainless 2000 without hesitationâ
Shiki Nakazawa, Hawkes Bay (New Zealand) - Chainless 2000âIt was the first time Iâd ever had to feed my sheep, so it a bit of a new thing to me, and this machine has made it so much easierâ
Simon Tahau, Hawkes Bay (New Zealand) - Chainless 2000 Bale FeederâItâs quite simply the best and easiest to use. Just much easier to operate on big round or big square balesâ
Sir David Fagan, King Country (New Zealand) - Chainless 2000“In certain times of the year we’ll use hay rings, we’ll use hay trailers with heavy use areas, so we feed with rings, we feed with hay trailers along with the bale feeder, but a 1000 times over, a 1000 times over this bale feeder is a far way better in my opi
Eric Elsner, University of Georgia (USA) - Chainless 4000âThe Hustler bale feeder is the best investment I have made since constructing a slatted shed for my cattle and purchasing a tractor. We currently feed over 300 bales a year and since the arrival of the Hustler it has saved me from the back breaking work of fo
PJ Hynes, Co. Roscommon (Ireland) - Unrolla SL350“We think the world of the SL-350, we feed between 7-800 bales per year through it to our suckler beef herd. I would say at a guess that we have owned our machine for at least 6 years which means weâve fed out approximately 4-5000 bales, we only use rounds. Le
Adrian Williams, Mid Wales (UK) - SL350“The Chainless X5000 is a credit to Hustler. It has been well thought out and very well built. The company has achieved its goal of building a machine that will feed out virtually any size or shape of a bale, of almost any type of feed.”
Cricklewood Angus, Tahaenui Station, Nuhaka (New Zealand) - Chainless X5000/TX205Most of the savings are achieved by a reduction in the amount of bale which is wasted.
Feed wastage can be caused by various factors:
1) The bale is not teased apart enough making it harder for stock to eat.
2) Animals laying or trampling on fodder.
3) Unfinished bales inside ring feeders due to poor ground conditions, not allowing animals to reach the leftover bale.
4) Stock rejecting feed because of dirt, mud or other contaminants.
Savings can be made by feeding the right amount of the bale and retaining the rest for the next feed. By feeding over a larger area compare to a ring feeder, there is less competition between the animals.
Typical savings achieved by using a Hustler Chainless bale feeder are between 15-40%, depending on your existing feeding system (chain feeders typically save 10-35%).
